This very busy year continues with no let-up in November.

Apart from a small external drain alteration at Penn Road, Taverham, all my work this month has been at Stafford Street, Norwich, fitting a new kitchen and undertaking other additional works. Existing laminate flooring to all ground floor areas has been removed; a combination of standard, extra tall, and half height wall units fitted together has created a bank of storage for this new Howdens matt fir-green kitchen.

Tower, base, wall, and pull-out units complete the ensemble, together with a fitted range cooker, drawer style dishwasher, integrated fridge freezer, beer & wine fridges.

Stunning white slab tech worktops with upstands and back panels, and moulded sink have now been completed.

The kitchen floor has been latexed; dining room, hall and lounge floors have been plyed, and an oak style herringbone flooring laid.

Solid 40mm oak worktops have been cut down ready to use for floating shelves. 2nd fix electrics including new spot lights, under unit lighting, switches, sockets, and fuse board have been completed.

 

This month saw the completion of the revamped kitchen & utility room at Lakeland Way, Hethersett. Once the quartz worktops and upstands were fitted 2nd fix electrics and new fuse board soon followed, along with the plumbing of the new sink and Quooker tap:-

 

Cornice & lighting pelmets fitted, plinths (awaiting clients to choose flooring) are cut and temporarily fitted. 2 new replacement kitchen internal doors were fitted to admit more light and add to the stylish look of the kitchen:-

My next job is a kitchen/dining room refit: another Howdens kitchen at a home in Stafford Street, Norwich.

Half of the kitchen was delivered prior to me starting work and filled the existing lounge:-

Week 1 saw the existing kitchen units, worktops, kitchen ceiling (plasterboard) and dining room ceiling (plaster, lath & reed) all removed and cleared away. 1st fix electrics were also completed:-

Week 2 had the ceilings plasterboarded, the kitchen and dining rooms replastered, and preparations made to start fitting the new kitchen/dining room units.

The month has also seen a number of new enquiries coming through, along with catching Covid for the first (& hopefully last!) time…

Yet another busy month, this time fitting a new kitchen and utility room for clients at Lakeland Way, Hethersett.

Week 1 involved stripping out the existing kitchen and utility room, removing existing ceilings, and getting 1st fix electrics in.

Week 2 saw ceilings re-boarded, kitchen & utility rooms replastered, and the new Howdens kitchen delivered to site.

Week 3 I fitted base, wall, and tower units, together with aluminium worktop rails and caps.

Week 4 the quartz worktops were templated, ready to be fitted in early October, and I fitted the new appliances plus unit doors and drawer fronts.

 

A busy month fitting the new kitchen and utility room at Heyford Road, Catton resulted in a finished product that looked brilliant – clients very happy, and their photos below:-

I have also been able to make good to a shower room floor at Leng Crescent, Eaton.

My work on a new replacement kitchen and utility room in Hethersett starts on September 4th.

I have also priced a new kitchen in Stafford Street, Norwich, with a view to starting work in early October.

Other enquiries this month include the replacement of internal doors at a property in Trunch, as well as a growing list of small jobs to be fitted in as and when possible.

Following a good run of work, the cancellation of our holiday to Menorca allowed me a few free days before going off to a well-deserved holiday in Turkey.

A full replacement kitchen and utility room for a client in Catton awaited my return. Units, worktops and coving have since been removed, first fix electrics fitted, and the existing ceilings have been overboarded. Kitchen and utility room ceilings and walls have been replastered, coved, and painted. The new kitchen units have been placed in the room ready for fitting.

 

 

I have also received a number of new enquiries including the replacement of a number of internal doors, and another replacement kitchen.
