It has been exceptionally busy since my last update.

The kitchen and utility room at Wherry Close, North Walsham, is now finished. Photos below show kitchen awaiting stone worktops, and then with them fitted; also before and after flooring was fitted. Plus, to complete their project, I have also supplied & fitted new oak internal doors to the lounge, cloakroom, kitchen (x 3), and French internal doors to the dining room, which admit much more light and make the whole ground floor feel more spacious and contemporary.

 

 

Other works during this period include the fitting of a tall integrated fridge freezer into a tower unit in Spencer Avenue and fitting 3 internal oak doors at Sendall Road, both in North Walsham. I have also removed an old warm air unit stand and made good to the floor at Glenda Crescent, plus replaced 4 existing windows, front door and side panel at Greenfields, Millcroft Close, both properties in Costessey.

Looking ahead, I have bookings for a kitchen and utility room at Heyford Road, Norwich; another at Lakeland Way, Hethersett; enquiries and estimates ongoing for a kitchen at Marlborough Road, Norwich, a garage conversion at Hollybush Road, North Walsham, a kitchen at Glenda Crescent, Costessey, and the replacement of exterior cladding on a unit at Weybourne Hall Holiday Park.

 

Before Easter the plastering, making good to skirtings and clearing away completed all the works for the removal of an interior wall at The Furze, East Ruston.

After Easter saw me complete a number of site visits, measure ups, and new estimates for a number of potential clients, including a kitchen/utility room re-vamp at Potter Heigham, a single storey extension plus internal works at Elsing Road, Lyng, and replacement door and windows at Greenfields, Costessey.

I also shot in and hung 2 new internal doors in Dilham, and I fitted the black glass splashback above the hob to complete the kitchen re-fit at Cedar Road, Spixworth.

 

The main work this month has been the start of replacing the kitchen and utility room at a home on Wherry Close, North Walsham. The existing kitchen and utility room have been removed and skipped, including units, worktops, appliances, ceilings, coving, wall and floor tiles. 1st fix plumbing and electrics  have been completed, ceilings boarded, walls made good and re-plastered. The new Howdens kitchen has arrived on site and works have begun to fit it.

 

Work continues with fitting out the new Wren kitchen and utility room at Cedar Road, Spixworth. Works included worktops, upstands, cornice, pelmet, pet bed unit and appliances fitted. The 2nd fix of all the new electrics and a new fuse board were also completed. The existing floors were prepared, sealed, latexed, and Karndean flooring laid.

 

Whilst awaiting the flooring at Cedar Road to be completed, the removal of the lounge internal wall, fitting of a steel beam (to hold up the bedroom floors), the blocking up of an internal doorway, and prepping for replastering kept me busy at The Furze, East Ruston.

 

A new made-to-measure hardwood door and side panel combination frame was fitted at Lower Street, Horning.

Further enquiries/site visits, van MOT and a short trip to Cornwall for a funeral completed this very busy month.

The extension at Colossus Way in Costessey is now complete following the fitting of Karndean flooring to the new playroom, utility room, and original lounge.

I’ve completed a number of site visits, measure ups, and new estimates including 3 kitchens in North Walsham (at Wherry Close, Harbord Close, and Recreation Road) plus wardrobes to a home for previous clients in Mundesley and bedroom alterations at Alfred Road in Cromer.

I have fitted another internal door at a lovely home in Dilham, with more to follow when time permits.

The main work this month has been the fitting of a new kitchen at Cedar Avenue, Spixworth, which is ongoing. I followed on after the clients had removed the ceilings, worktops and units from the existing kitchen and utility room. 1st fix electrics were completed, including the removal of the front lobby ceiling to get new electrics back to the board. Ceilings and walls have been boarded, re-plastered and coved. A new Wren kitchen and utility room units are now in the process of being fitted.

 

Following a well deserved quiet Christmas and New Year break, I was able to complete a few small finishing-off jobs before returning to the extension at Colossus Way in Costessey. This included shooting in and hanging an oak style bathroom/bedroom door at Eastern Rd., Thorpe St Andrew

I also cut and fitted new joists and flooring to a shower room at Old Road, Acle.

All building works at Colossus Way, Costessey, have now been completed, leaving only the Karndean flooring to be fitted to the extension (playroom & utility room), and the existing lounge, as soon as the order is delivered.

The new year has also brought a number of new enquiries, site visits, and estimates, including possible multiple works going forward at Eccles-on-Sea, plus a kitchen at Wherry Close, patio doors at Nursery Drive, and internal doors at Chestnut Avenue – all in North Walsham. I’ve also been asked to remove the lounge wall at The Furze, East Ruston, and to replace a number of internal doors at a property in the same village.

Alas, no time to address the wife’s “honey do” list…;-)
