One busy month seems to follow another, and April was no different.

Most of this month was taken up with the fitting of a new kitchen at English Road, Old Catton. 1st fix plumbing was completed, ceiling and walls plasterboarded, walls made good and then the kitchen was completely replastered. Once all of the plastering was dry and decorated all the kitchen units, doors, worktops, upstands, cornice and appliances were fitted. All 2nd fix plumbing and electrics are now also complete.

I’ve also fitted 2 x loft access hatched and a vent roof tile to a bathroom in Strumpshaw,

Orders and enquiries continue to come in steadily, with confirmed kitchen projects at Bacton Road, North Walsham next month (another hellish commute!) and Abbot Road in Honing in August.

Another busy and full month of work and enquiries (kitchens, a loft conversion, and extensions).

The complete kitchen has been fitted at Staitheway Road, Wroxham, including all units, appliances, quartz worktops, upstands, and Karndean flooring. Only the glass splashbacks are left to complete this wonderful kitchen.

I have also completed the replacement of 9 internal doors at Hoveton Place, Badersfield.

The  month ended with preparations and 1st fix electrics for a new kitchen at English Road, Catton.

Another full month of work kept me very busy. No results yet from my CT scan.

Skirting, architraves, forming a gas meter cupboard, the pointing up of brick slips to both chimney breasts and the replacement of the back garden wall and piers completed all the outstanding works at Peacock Street in Norwich.

Fitting a stone window  sill also completed works at the Meeting Hill kitchen.

I returned to Orchid Lodge, Horning, to form an understairs cupboard and remove a small kitchen internal wall before redecoration by others.

I ended the month at Staitheway Rd., Wroxham, stripping out an existing kitchen. Electrics and plumbing all altered for the new kitchen layout and the room completely re-plastered. The new kitchen was delivered by crane onto the first floor balcony (kitchen is on this floor of a 3 storey home) and stored in the lounge ready for fitting.

I continue to have a number of new enquiries and a pretty full order book for this spring/summer going forward.

A funny old month, with many enquiries and resultant estimates, whilst still grappling with whatever is going on in my right kidney. CT scan booked for the evening of February 15th so we’ll see what clarification that provides.

Nevertheless, I completed a kitchen refit in a lovely home in Meeting Hill, just outside North Walsham, and I made some modifications to another cottage in Witton in order to create a separate self-contained holiday let for the clients.

Cornice, lighting pelmet, under-unit fridge, splashback, and a lounge meter cupboard finished off the kitchen works at Meeting Hill:-

Skirting boards, architraves and the fitting of some cloakroom furniture finished off the outstanding works at Staitheway Road, Wroxham.

The blocking up of an archway with timber studwork and plasterboard  complete with skirtings and a new internal door and window frame have separated a holiday let from the main house at a home in Witton. Very nice review from the clients can be seen on my testimonials page.

I have also, as mentioned, completed a number of estimates for replacement kitchens and other projects, as enquiries continue – most welcome!

I’ve  been unwell off and on since the end of October, but soldiered on…

So the first week of November saw me off work as I continued to recover from a kidney infection for which I had been hospitalised at the end of October.

Buildbase delivered the kitchen units and worktops to Meeting Hill, as I eased my way back into the world of work. The new units and worktops were soon fitted once Kardean flooring, plumbing, and new electrics were completed. I returned to complete plinths, wall unit decor end panels and internal fittings. I finished the month at Staitheway Road in Wroxham completing a number of jobs including forming an airing cupboard in a bathroom alcove with slatted shelves and enlarging an en suite shower room by removing half of a built in wardrobe and making good to both rooms.

I have taken all of December off to try and get fit, and get to the bottom of the ongoing kidney infection. It therefore only remains for me to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.
