Work this month included:-
Removing an existing garage door (up & over) and frame, bricking up the opening and fitting a double glazed window to match the windows in the house. This created a home gym for my client at Alder Close, North Walsham.
I have also cross battened, plasterboarded and re-plastered a bedroom ceiling for a repeat client in Lyng.
Work has also finally started on a single storey kitchen extension at Peacock Street in Norwich. The existing courtyard and external boundary wall have been removed and footings dug out. I am now awaiting an architect/structural engineer’s re-design of the foundations before work can continue.
A number of materials are on order for clients at Acorn Road (doors) and Bacton Road (wardrobes), both here in North Walsham.
The supply of materials continues to be an issue, delays arising post-Covid. Material prices have also risen considerably; by at least 20% since the beginning of January.
I have had a number of new enquiries and am currently pricing works in Honing and also for 2 potential clients in Mulbarton.
